The ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ (³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ) is a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of nursing in critical care, with over 2,000 members nationally and internationally. ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ provides a national voice to shape the strategy for critical care nursing, promote safe, quality evidence-based nursing care to the critically ill patient and provide wide-ranging benefits and opportunities to ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ members.
The ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ National Board is made up of critical care nurses, plus an independent ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ member. Each Board member leads on a specified workstream. Workstreams include conference, engagement, equality, diversity and inclusion, regional advice, professional advice, finance and research/academic liaison. All Board members are trustees and therefore Directors of the charity.
As Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will work with the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Board of Directors to implement the operational strategy of the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ, with responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the charity, ensuring that policies, rules, and goals are implemented effectively, enabling ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ to deliver its charitable objects.
The role requires an experienced and effective nurse leader, qualified to master’s level, who can lead across both operational and strategic spheres. A broad knowledge and experience of the range of business functions and systems will also be required.
